AVTECH Sweden AB on First North and shares rise 16,7% in first day of trading

As the first company to be admitted to trading on NASDAQ OMX First North in 2012, AVTECH Sweden AB successfully commenced trading its shares on First North in Stockholm on Monday.

AVTECH Sweden representatives, David Alvord, CEO, Chris Fehrling and Christer Staaf rang the “opening bell” of the exchange at 09.00 to mark not only the beginning of trading but also in celebration of the many years of hard work and innovative spirit of the dedicated AVTECH team.

Jenny Rosberg, Senior Vice President at NASDAQ OMX commented on AVTECH Sweden’s listing in a press release yesterday from First North:

“We are excited to welcome this year’s first listing at First North, where we experienced a strong inflow of companies in 2011 in spite of turbulent markets. AVTECH operates in a market with tremendous growth potential and will make a great addition to our Nordic and international members looking for investment opportunities in the Technology sector.”

David Alvord, CEO at AVTECH, summarized the day at closing:

“We are very pleased to be able to announce that in the first day of trading the AVTECH share price rose from the original price of 6,00 SEK and closed at 7,00 SEK, thus up 16,7% from our IPO last November. We are now looking forward to leveraging our listing in order to expand the ownership of AVTECH to an international investor audience and thus support continued expansion of our operations.”

AVTECH Sweden AB has appointed Thenberg & Kinde Fondkommission AB as Certified Adviser.
